Orange blood bundt cake

#FridayRecipe and it's time to delight your palate with this 𝐁𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐄 𝐁𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐓 𝐂𝐀𝐊𝐄. We have discovered this recipe thanks to @webosfritos and we are in love with it. Both for its texture and for its fresh citrus touch, together with the icing sugar it gives it an explosive flavor. It has become one of our favorite cakes that cannot be missed in a good weekend snack. Ready to try it?



  • 150g butter at room temperature
  • 200g sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • The juice of 2 large oranges
  • Peel of an orange
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 400 g of pastry flour
  • 1 sachet (16 g) of baking powder

Step by step :

Preheat the oven to 180ºC, heat up and down. Stripe
Beat butter and sugar with an electric whisk or by hand for 5 minutes. During this time the dough whitens and increases its volume. Stripe
Incorporate the eggs one by one, while beating. Stripe
Add the juice of the two oranges and the zest of one of them. Stripe
Pour the yogurt and mix with the whisks. Stripe
Sift the flour and incorporate it into the mix along with the baking powder and salt. Mix to get an homogeneous dough. Stripe
Spread the mold with butter, being patient with all the edges, and sprinkle flour on top with the help of a strainer. Pour the dough into it. Stripe
Bake 30 minutes at 180ºC and another 15 minutes at 170ºC, always heat up and down. In total, 45 minutes. After this time, prick with a skewer and check that it comes out dry. If not, leave 5 more minutes. Stripe
Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, and unmold by placing a rack upside down on the mold and turning it over. Stripe
Once cold, sprinkle icing sugar on top using a sieve. Using a sieve is important if you don’t want to make a mess. Stripe
OUR TOUCH FOR THE ORANGE GLAZING topping: Mix 90 ml of orange juice with 75 g of icing sugar, change amounts according to taste. Stripe
